I'm back with another awesome author interview
on this fine Tuesday!
Here we go...
Trace Kerr is a lifelong Pacific Northwesterner who never uses an umbrella when it rains.
When she's not prowling the dusty shelves of some indie bookstore, she can sometimes be heard on Spokane Public Radio as the producer & co-host of the Brain Junk Podcast. She also recently joined the Taking Her Lead podcast as a co-host and is excited to interview women about their experiences in leadership.
Trace lives in Spokane with a gardening crazed chemist, one kid who's still at home, several chickens, three cats, and a flatulent chocolate lab named, Ruby.
THE NAMES WE TAKE is her first novel.
Stay hidden, stay alert, stay alive.
Never leave someone behind: it's a promise easier made than kept, especially when seventeen-year-old Pip takes headstrong twelve-year-old Iris under her protection in the wake of an earth-shattering plague. When they're captured by a violent gang, Pip and Iris meet Fly, a stubborn and courageous older girl.
While grappling with secrets that threaten to break them apart, Pip, Iris, and Fly struggle to survive amid the nearly unrecognizable remains of Spokane, Washington. Pip's vow to never leave someone behind seems impossible, but it might be the key to finding love and acceptance in the ashes of what came before.
